Key Moments in Our Journey

  • 1982

Educo was founded by Wim Kronenburg and his brother-in-law Ton van den Berg. Together, they began developing innovative learning materials for preschool education, special needs education, and toy libraries.

  • 2001

To complete its range of learning materials, Heutink Primary Education included Educo in its product portfolio. This close partnership led to Heutink taking over Educo in 2001.

  • 2005

Educo’s active product development fueled significant growth. To meet export and quality demands, production was moved to a state-of-the-art facility in China.

  • 2007

Heutink acquired Nienhuis (Montessori), transferring Educo’s logistics and sales from Rijssen to Nienhuis in Zelhem to better serve its global market.

  • 2014

Heutink integrated Stempelfabriek & Jegro, bringing Educo, Nienhuis, and Jegro together under the umbrella of Heutink International, establishing a global brand for educational solutions.

  • 2024

Educo and its parent company, Heutink, became part of the Eduviva Group, joining forces with Lekolar. Together, they represent a leading global network dedicated to innovative and high-quality educational solutions, shaping the future of learning worldwide.
